Living Sword Race

Ability Scores: A living sword lacks a Strength or Constitution score, but is otherwise treated as if it had a score of 10 in each of them.

Size: Living swords are Tiny creatures and gain a +2 size bonus to their AC, a +2 size bonus on attack rolls, a -2 penalty to their CMB and CMD, and a +8 size bonus on Stealth checks. A living sword has a space of 2 ½ feet and a natural reach of 5 feet. Living sword can move into or through an occupied square.

Senses: Living swords posses Low-Light Vision and Darkvision 60 ft.

Speed: Fly 20 ft.

Languages: As human.

Bonus Feats: As Tiny creatures, living swords receiver the Weapon Finesse as a bonus feat.

Negative energy affinity: Living swords are harmed by negative energy and healed by positive energy. Positive energy only heals living swords half as much as it would living creatures.

Living Weapon: A living sword’s unarmed strike functions in all ways as a medium longsword and is considered both a natural and manufactured weapon for the purpose of effects and abilities. Aditionally, a living sword gains the Improved Unarmed Strike feat for free at 1st level as a bonus feat, allowing it to attack without provoking attacks of opportunity.

Agile Maneuver Training

A living sword begins play with the Agile Maneuver Training feat as a bonus feat.

Arcane Pool

A living sword has an arcane pool with a number of points equal to 1/2 its level + its Intelligence bonus.

As a free action, the living sword can spend a point from its arcane pool to gain a bonus equal to its level on its natural weapon damage rolls for 1 minute.

Starting at 5th level, the living sword may spend a point from its arcane pool to add the flaming, frost, or shock special property to its attacks, or spend two points from its arcane pool and instead add the flaming burst, icy burst, or shocking burst property to its attacks. This effect lasts until the start of the living sword’s next turn.

Magus Arcana

At 2nd and 4th levels, a living sword learns a single magus arcana of her choice as long as it could actually benefit from its effects. A living sword can never gain a familiar of any kind.

Armor Bonus

Starting at 3rd level, a living sword gains a +2 deflection bonus to its armor class. This bonus increases to +4 at 6th level.

Enhancment

Starting at 3rd level, a living sword gains a +1 enhancement bonus on attack and damage rolls with its unarmed strikes. This bonus increases to +2 at 5th level.
